2. The USB is a self-sensing technology, and offers good response times when devices are connected through USB ports. So after plugging in the cord, wait for a few moments for the technology to work and sense your iPhone. Once the device is recognized, the system will display an “auto play” window offering multiple options as to what you desire to do after creating the interface with your smart phone. For this to happen, you require to turn on, or activate, the auto play option in your operating system. In case of windows operating system, this can be done by accessing the control panel, and checking out hardware and sound options. If you study the facilities offered by windows, you can even set up scheduled tasks, or automate certain tasks, which can automatically transfer data from peripheral devices.

3. Select the option “Import pictures and videos using Windows” appearing in the auto play window. If you don’t get the window, click on the “Computer” option and find the iPhone prompt listed in the option list. Right click on this prompt and select “Import pictures and videos” from the list of options displayed to you.

4. Choose the particular folder where you desire to store your iPhone data. You can even save the default folder location for future reference and importing activities.

5. Consider whether you want to delete or erase the old photos. You might need to do this if you have lesser storage place on your computer hard drive. If you need to do this activity quite often, select the “Always erase from device after importing” option. However, if you have enough storage space and want to keep your existing photos, do not select this option.

6. Click on the “Import” option. This will actually transfer the photos from your iPhone to your PC or laptop. Once the activity is completed, the photo gallery option will automatically pop up to display the photos download from your smart phone.

• You can only import photos and videos recorded with the built-in camera available on the cell phone, or transferred to your phone through a Bluetooth facility. You cannot transfer or import photos or videos from iTunes.

• When downloading or importing photos from your cell phone device into your Windows based computer, some of the photos or videos may appear rotated incorrectly. Many third party downloading and photo management software specially developed for Windows operating system display iOS photos correctly without any rotation of the images.
